Horseback riding

In Veneto there are numerous opportunities to practice this noble sport that celebrates the ancient friendship between man and horse. There are two interesting horseback riding paths that tourists can use to cross the Veneto region: The horseback-riding path of the Piave and the horseback riding path of the Brenta.

The horseback-riding path of the Piave starts from Cortellazzo (near Jesolo, in the province of Venice) and goes up the river through 25 villages in the provinces of Venice, Treviso and Belluno, crossing landscapes and environments are always different.

The horseback riding path of the Brenta follows the course of the river starting from Brondolo of Chioggia (near Venice) and ends in the plateau of Asiago. This is a beautiful, natural path that winds through the landscapes of Venice, Padua and Vicenza, and along the banks of the Brenta. Some of the most beautiful Venetian villas filled with history and culture of the region can be seen along this route.

Lake Garda
offers a unique setting for horseback riding. The natural Park of the Lessina with its lovely mountain scenery offers a path that goes from Fosse to San Giorgio and that crosses the Spluga della Preta, one of the world's deepest karsts. Verona is also included in a horseback-riding path that starts from Rome and crosses Italy. This path is over 700 kilometres long and also runs through Valeggio sul Mincio and Villafranca.

There are several riding trails in the Park of the Dolomites of Belluno, including routes that pass through the areas of the areas of the Cajada basin, the Prampèr Valley and the Grisou Valley. Paths also start from Agordo and lead to Cortina or that even goes to Dobbiaco. These follow the route of the old railway that runs along the national road. The horseback riding routes found in the province of Vicenza are equally striking, especially the route of the "valley of emeralds" that runs between the Colli Berici and the High Valleys of Vicenza and that winds around the forests and pastures at the bottom of the Small Dolomites.

You can also discover one of the most beautiful environments of our region on horseback, the Po Delta Park. In the Po Delta Park, riders will come into contact with the wildest and most pristine areas of the lagoon and explore natural sites of particular value.
